Hi quilty friends!

In today's newsletter, I'm sharing my latest WIP finish, tips for staying on track with your goals and a new Quilter's Planner gift card option for last-minute gift needs (or suggestions!)

I've been so busy behind the scenes preparing some new videos to share and arranging plans for the 2027 planner that I missed sending out a newsletter last month. Thanks for reading today's newsletter! Be sure to read to the end for the perfect Mother's Day gift for your mom (or for you!).

I made a thing! It's quilting adjacent, but still!

I recently finished a project on my WIP list that I started earlier this year but should have just finished it sooner. It was an easy project, but required more than just one session at my machine. My life gets busy and often it's hard to make the time to return to finish. (Anyone else in the same boat right now?)

But I decided to just schedule the time! I call my friend Judy and we picked a day to finally get together to sew. I hauled my already packed sewing bag to her house and got it done! It's a very simple baby doll carrier for my daughter that she is over the moon happy with. Do I have other bigger quilt projects to work on? Yes, tons. But I needed a quick win with a big payout and seeing her joy from using it has been the biggest reward.

Speaking of WIPs, I promised y'all a picture of my current WIP list. These are ones that I can remember off the top of my head and by looking at the stack of small project totes piled high in my sewing room. Whew! It's a lot, so I need to get cracking!

I used a new set of rainbow pens to track each step in my Quilter's Planner. It's quite fun to check off steps as I make progress. Now I just need to schedule my next sew day!

How does your Projects-at-a-Glance tracker look so far this year? Are you making good progress? I'd love to see your WIP list and how it's going for you. Feel free to share pictures of your list on Facebook or Instagram and tag @thequiltersplanner!

Are you on track with your goals?

Now that we are into May, how is progress going with the goals you set at the beginning of this year?

Whether you set goals for your sewing and quilting projects or made plans for lifestyle changes, this time of year is perfect for a check-in. Are you where you wanted to be almost five months in? What steps are you taking each month or week toward your goals? Is there anything you need to adjust in your schedule to make time for reaching your targets?

The Monthly Goals and Habit Tracker page in the Quilter's Planner is the perfect spot to plan out the actions you want to take this month and track your daily and weekly progress.

If you don't have a planner yet, you can get still get one that's perfect for you and stay on top of your goals and habits:

  • The 2026 Quilter's Planner is our signature planner, dated through 2026, though we swap out the weeks that have passed with dot grid paper so you can still use those pages for notes/sketching/etc.
  • If you find yourself using a planner on and off throughout the year, our Perpetual Quilters Planner is the perfect planner for you. You can start (and stop) using it anytime, filling out the calendar dates as you go.
  • If a paper calendar isn't right for you, try using our QP Design Book. It has all of the quilting resources and planning pages you'll love using, and it doesn't have the calendar pages. Then you can add the Monthly Goal and Habit Tracker by getting the PDF version here, print it off at home, and add it to your Design Book with our Add-a-Page Clip-Ins.

Check out our blog post with tips for using Habit Trackers in the Quilter's Planner to help you accomplish your goals.
